Lucci stars in the current cycle of the show which begins tomorrow on Wednesday, February 26th in New York City. Judy Gold, Cathy Moriarty, Tonya Pinkins (ex-Livia Frye Cudahy, All My Children) are in the cast along with Lucci.

During her GMA segment, co-hosts, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan spoke to Lucci about her latest project, plus her upcoming role in the dark comedy motion picture, Outcome, from Jonah Hill. Susan shared what it was like filming the movie: “It was a wonderful experience all around. Jonah wrote it, he directed it and he is in it. He is a brilliant guy and so easy to communicate with and is accessible, and Keanu Reeves (who also stars in the film) was a doll to work with.”
When the talk turned to Susan’s iconic role as All My Children’s Erica Kane, and if she missed stepping into Erica’s shoes every day, Lucci said, “Absolutely.” She went to express, “I miss all those people I got to play all those scenes with. I miss the part, of course … I still think she was one of the best parts ever written for a woman, but also being part of a team and still having an opportunity to do your individual great work, that’s a wonderful thing.”

At the conclusion of her segment, the producers of GMA set up another soap trope for her to perform with Michael Strahan. On a previous appearance, she gave Strahan a soap slap across the face, which he sold pretty effortlessly. This time, the two upped the game with the ole’ “throw a drink in the face” during a faux-heated argument. However, Lucci got the opportunity to douse Strahan with water three times!
