Terri Irwin’s Heartfelt Admission Nearly 19 Years After Steve’s Death
It’s been almost 19 years since Steve Irwin, the beloved Crocodile Hunter, tragically died after being struck by a stingray. His wife, Terri Irwin, was just 42 when she lost him. Since then, she and their children, Bindi and Robert, have continued his legacy of wildlife conservation.
Terri, now 60, recently told Stellar Magazine (April 2025) that she’s still single and has no interest in dating again. “I found my happily ever after,” she said. “So I’m lonely for Steve, but I’m not lonely.” She explained that while she misses him deeply, she feels fulfilled and doesn’t need a relationship to feel complete.

Despite years of rumors — including being linked to actor Russell Crowe and even King Charles — Terri has repeatedly clarified that she’s not romantically involved with anyone. “Russell is just a great friend,” she said, praising his loyalty after Steve’s death.

Terri added that Steve was her soulmate and she doesn’t see herself ever finding someone like him again. Daughter Bindi supported that sentiment, saying, “When you find your soulmate, you don’t want to move on.”
Terri summed it up best with her humor: when asked about dating, she replied, “I have a lot of quiet evenings with a nice, big, juicy pizza.”
