Continuing Grandpa’s Creative Legacy: Theo Norman
Theo Norman, the eldest of Ron’s grandsons, appears to have inherited the family’s artistic DNA. He is the son of actor Seth Gabel and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Bryce claims that Theo’s creative perspective has been influenced by her father. “My dad and my grandparents have been able to impart a lot of wisdom on me,” she said, adding that her son has now inherited this knowledge.
Bryce added that her son’s family’s encouragement helped him embrace creativity at a young age. Theo spent time on film sets, both her father’s and her own, to get a personal look at the creative process.
“He knows it’s a process, he knows by practicing you get better,” Bryce said, attributing this mentality to her father, uncle, and grandparents. They purposefully limited his exposure to electronics, she continued.
Rather, they urged him to pursue his creative side. “We intentionally put a camera in his hands when he was four,” Bryce explained. The choice paid off, as Theo fell in love with photography, painting, and the visual arts.
“I always said the prodigy gene skipped a generation,” Bryce once remarked, pointing out that Theo’s creative talent is similar to his grandfather’s.

Theo’s younger sister, Beatrice Jean, also known as “Bea,” is Ron’s second grandchild. Earlier this year, Bea, who was born in 2012, celebrated her twelfth birthday. In January 2024, her joyful mother celebrated with a touching social media message.
Bryce posted a sentimental video of Bea in her younger years along with a heartfelt note as a comment. “Today was this adorable child’s 12th birthday. When you’re enjoying yourself, time flies! “Bea, you have our undying love,” she wrote.
She is wise beyond her years and a regular source of fantastic comedy and advise, Bryce said, thanking her for the joy and happiness she offers.
