She Asked The Internet To Guess Her Age And Was Shocked By Their Answers

An Australian woman once asked people to estimate how old she was. When the majority of the responses fell between 50 and 60, she was taken aback.

Because they are so accustomed to seeing faces with filters, Photoshop, and cosmetic procedures that they have lost sight of what real life is, she told FEMAIL, people have “lost touch with reality.”

Emily, who currently resides in Sydney, is 36 years old. She was shocked by the “wild” reactions her film received from viewers of all ages.

“I’m 57, and I think you’re my age, maybe a few years younger,” a woman commented on Emily’s TikTok.

Another person remarked, “You’re in your mid-40s. “It’s your frown lines, fine lines around your eyes, and your grey hair and skin.”

Emily claimed that during lockdown, she stopped dying her hair.

“I accepted my gray. Women desire to feel free to be who they are. We’re all sick of constantly trying to be 25.

“This is the truth, even though I know most people my age won’t show their grey hair.”

Emily’s graying hair is often interpreted as an indication that she is older than fifty. She was 19 years old when it started.

In the video, she declared, “I’ve never had any work done, I’m not wearing makeup, and I’ve never had Botox.”

She added that her infant son keeps her up at night, which is why she has bags under her eyes.

Emily’s age was mentioned, but the comments continued.

“You look great for a 55-year-old,” someone said to her.

“To be fair, I’d say you were 37, but you actually appear to be 44. It’s your hair and the skin beneath your eyes,” another person wrote.

36 approaching 60. A man wrote, “You are still very gorgeous, but it’s probably your hair that ages you.”

A 15-year-old believed her to be 42, and a 60-year-old believed Emily to be her age.

Emily was 36 years old, which a few people in their mid-30s and late-20s correctly guessed.

Emily expressed her shock and horror at all the comments in a follow-up video.

“Someone believes I’m 58, but they’re only 35. Do I really appear that old? Like I’m almost old enough to retire? She asked.

“I think it’s important to keep in mind that what you see on social media, on TV, or in magazines—and what people have been saying for years—is not real.”

To combat all the social media advertisements telling people to look younger, the mother launched a sleepwear line.

I started Dawn & Dusk Co. because, in my opinion, pajamas are the best way to achieve comfort. Everything else falls into place when a woman is at ease.

When she isn’t constrained by her need for acceptance, she can accomplish incredible things. My goal is to enable women, regardless of age, to feel secure in their identity and appreciate their inherent beauty.
