Riley Green Brings Fan Jordan Petrie On Stage in Glasgow for Unforgettable Duet
A Dream in the Making
Riley Green has built a reputation for turning his concerts into more than just shows — often giving fans the chance to step into the spotlight. That tradition continued on September 16 at the O2 Academy Glasgow, where one fan’s bold dream turned into a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
The fan, Jordan Petrie of Dundee, UK, had been documenting her concert prep on TikTok, including her plan to ask Riley during the meet-and-greet if she could join him onstage to sing Ella Langley’s part of their hit duet “You Look Like You Love Me.”
Though Jordan works as a beautician by day and doesn’t pursue music professionally, she shared that singing is her passion — and she’s even learning guitar. “I’d seen him pull up fans to sing at his concerts in the US so I thought, how can I do this?! I got M&G tickets and thought it would be a perfect opportunity to ask,” she told Country Now.
Asking the Question
At the meet-and-greet, Jordan nervously made her request. “He shakes your hand, says hi, and poses for a picture. I then said to him, ‘Can I sing with you tonight?’ He said, ‘You like to sing?’ and I said, ‘I love to sing!’”
Initially, she suggested “Don’t Mind If I Do,” but Green explained he already had support act Hannah McFarland for that number. Still, the conversation opened the door — and by the time the show rolled around, Jordan’s persistence had paid off.
Taking the Stage
Midway through the concert, Riley Green called Jordan up. Videos captured the Alabama native introducing her to the crowd, joking that she might need to “translate” for the audience with her Glasgow accent. Jordan countered with a laugh, saying she’d sing in her “best American accent.”
Despite admitting she was nervous about forgetting the words, Jordan delivered a confident performance that left the crowd cheering. “I just thought to myself you’ve just got to go up there and have fun! When are you ever going to do this again?!” she said afterward.
A Family Affair
Jordan’s cousin, Shawni McLeod, was in the audience — and couldn’t hold back tears. “When I came off stage she was sobbing,” Jordan shared. The emotional reunion capped off what Jordan called “the biggest crowd I’ve ever sang to.”
Advice for Future Fans
Looking back, Jordan encouraged other fans hoping for the same chance to be proactive: arrive early, get close to the stage, or try for a meet-and-greet. “I had the best time, it was amazing,” she said in a follow-up TikTok.
This unforgettable duet is just the latest example of Riley Green’s willingness to connect with his audience in personal, meaningful ways — making his Damn Country Music Tour more than just a series of concerts, but a place where dreams come true.
