Riley Green in the Running for PEOPLE’s Sexiest Men Alive
Competing in the “Sexiest Country Singer” Category
Riley Green is officially in the spotlight for more than just his music. The country star is one of the nominees in PEOPLE’s Sexiest Men Alive 2025 Readers’ Choice Poll, where fans can vote across different categories. Green is competing in the “sexiest country singer” group, going head-to-head with Cody Johnson, Shaboozey, and Warren Zeiders.
This marks Green’s first appearance in the poll, joining the ranks of other country artists who’ve been recognized in years past.
Staying Grounded in Jacksonville, Alabama
Despite the glitz and glamour of fame, Green insists his heart belongs to his hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama. For him, the farm he owns there provides not just an escape but also a sense of stability.

“Well, I’ve always enjoyed the little, small town I grew up in. I still got a farm there in Jacksonville, Alabama, and my whole family grew up in that little community,” Green said during his visit to the Smooth Country studio. “So when I get to go home, I always say that’s like a vacation for me… life just moves a lot slower down there.”
Inspiration from the Simple Life
Even while on tour, Green admits his mind often wanders back to farm projects waiting for him at home.
“I’m constantly on the road thinking about what little project I’m going to work on or where I’m going to take the bulldozer over here and clear this spot off,” he said. “That’s what keeps me sane… because the rest of my life is so all over the place.”
Green says those quiet moments are not just grounding but also creatively inspiring: “People chanting your name and wearing fake mustaches when you walk on stage, that’s not real life. It’s nice for me to have that reminder… I think that’s where I get most of my inspiration for my songs.”
Collaborations and New Music
Green’s latest release, the deluxe edition of his RIAA Gold-certified third album Don’t Mind If I Do, includes six new tracks and features collaborations with Willie Nelson, Randy Houser, and Hannah McFarland.
Reflecting on working with others, Green said: “It’s done so well for me… and it’s just got to be something that really makes sense. The word I use is organic — just meaning the timing’s right, somebody I’ve crossed paths with musically. I’m always looking for that thing.”
What’s Next for Riley Green
While fans are still enjoying his newest songs, Green revealed that more music is on the way soon. “We’re going to get some dates in the studio this fall and try to put a record out in the spring next year,” he hinted.
In the meantime, the multi-PLATINUM, ACM and CMA Award-winning singer-songwriter continues his Damn Country Music Tour, with shows scheduled through November.
